Reiki 1: Shoden  

In the shoden (first teachings) course students will learn:

  • The history of reiki
  • Core elements and principles
  • Meditation methods
  • Energy centers in the body
  • Reiki self-treatment
  • Training for hands-on treatment to others
  • Some complimentary healing techniques from other traditions

 

Also, students will receive their first attunements (a.k.a. initiations or reiju) to channel Reiki for physical and emotional healing.  

 

Classes will open once there is a group of interested persons.

Duration: Aprox. 15 hrs. 

(Either on a weekend or several evenings depending on students' availability)

 

Cost: $150 (includes reiki I manual) 

 

Prerequisites: 

  • Open mind
  • Desire to learn
  • Willingness to share with the group
  • Have had a reiki treatment (or at least have a sense of what reiki is)
